Van Tongeren Trading BV

John van Tongeren has been active in the world of pumps and accessories his entire working life. Since 2009 he is active as trading company Van Tongeren Trading BV with the purchase and sale of new and used pumps and related products such as pipes, hoses and fittings. We also support our customers with the supply of spare parts of both pumps and drives.

Various uses

With six people we are responsible for the purchase and sale of some 500-700 pumps on an annual basis. Many are sold to contractors, well operators and (specialized) rental companies. Pumps are also sold to the mining, agricultural and industrial sectors. The pumps are used in many different ways.

Van Tongeren: "A farmer needs a pump for watering or irrigating his land, our pumps are also used for pumping out mines in Africa, Macedonia and Croatia and for keeping banana plantations wet in Suriname. Also pumps supplied by Van Tongeren Trading BV, keep all lakes in Euro Disney clean".

For the industry, pumps are supplied which provide large machines with cooling water or on working ships as ballast pumps. By having a stock of about 70-100 pieces there is always a suitable model for the right application to offer to the interested party.

Speed and flexibility

The strength of Van Tongeren Trading BV lies in the great flexibility and fast delivery. Here we really make the difference. We have a large stock of different pumps (between 70 and 100 pieces) and can deliver them within 1 or 2 days to the desired destination worldwide, literally by land, sea and air.

Export

We handle all types of documentation related to exports. Turnover is growing every year. The market is capricious: Africa and Russia are difficult now, Germany has been stable for years and the Netherlands and Belgium are picking up. Because of the global coverage, Van Tongeren Trading BV can easily absorb the peaks and troughs in different countries.

Van Tongeren Trading BV has a good name and reputation in the industry: "Foreign companies know our flexibility to appreciate. In addition, we in the Netherlands can arrange things very efficiently and quickly, which we see at our foreign colleagues a lot less. Many new customers come to the company through word-of-mouth advertising and via the Internet. A large part of the turnover now comes from abroad. Van Tongeren Trading BV still sees many (export) sales opportunities in the maritime sector and in Asia. Partly because of this we expect the export share of the turnover to increase even further.
