From trader to partner in pump solutions
In 2009, John van Tongeren founded his own trading company, Van Tongeren Trading BV. After years in the pump industry, John believed things could be done better – more practical, faster, and with real expertise. Today, Van Tongeren Trading has grown into an international player with a sharp focus on quality and service.
With a dedicated team of six, we handle between 500 and 700 pumps a year. Whether it’s a single wastewater pump for a farmer or an entire batch for a rental company in Germany – we make sure the right pump ends up in the right place. Ready for action.
From banana plantations to Disneyland Paris
Our pumps are used worldwide for the most diverse applications. In Suriname, they keep banana plantations irrigated, in Africa they pump out mines, and at Disneyland Paris they help keep the lakes clean. Our pumps also run daily on ships, in factories, and on construction sites.
Because we always have 70 to 100 pumps in stock, we can deliver quickly. And since we work independently of brands, we supply exactly what you need – not just what happens to be on the shelf.

Speed and flexibility are our strength. We have pumps in stock that are ready to ship and can deliver within 1 to 2 days – in the Netherlands and beyond. By land, by air, or by sea freight. Every pump is tested and delivered with a test report.
